Caregiving Training
Overview
The population structure of the world is changing, and Nepal is no exception, where birth rate is declining and life expectancy is increasing. If this continues, the population pyramid will turn upside down in the near future. The elderly entering the ageing community is growing day by day, giving rise to many problems relating to elder population. Therefore, quality and continuous training for caregivers is crucial to ensure that they are equipped with necessary skills to provide the best care and services as possible to the elderly population. This course will cover a broad range of topics that will help you become a successful caregiver who helps clients with their best interest in their heart
Upon the completion of this course, the trainees will:
- Have knowledge, skills and attitude necessary in care-giving.
- Be able to create safe, healthy and stimulating environment.
- Have sufficient knowledge on common human diseases.
- Have adequate knowledge on food and nutrition and be able to provide hygienic care.
- Be able to carry out first aide service and respond to work place emergencies
- Be able to recognize early warning signs/symptoms of health issues and illnesses (Such as dementia
- Learn about emotional management: how to access and take advantage of local resources for both the caregiver and the care recipient

Duration
- 390 Hours/ 6 Months for advanced course.
